WEI YA C3129DB Monitor
« on: March 04, 2011, 02:55:28 pm »
This is my first post here so I hope i am doing everything the right way about! I have 2 Wei YA C3129DB monitors with the same problem. The 47 ohm 3W resistor and the cap adjacent to it on the daughter board keep blowing. This has happened a few times already. Does anyone have a circuit schematic for this monitor. I am trying to figure out why these components keep failing. This is a dual focus monitor. The neck board has 2 focus pins. I have pictures, but don't know how to insert the images as yet!

You will probably have to contact the manufacturer for schematics and other information:

Be advise to keep your English and sentences short & to the point. I'm pretty sure they have to use a translation program to read English emails.

Thanks for the response Ken. Emailed them twice. Don't think they are really interested! I don't think Chinese companys are keen on sharing their schematics! I simplified my english in the second email and still got no response.

Regards and keep up the good work.

You are quite right! Received a reply from Wei Ya today as follows:

Apologize to inform you that we can not offer schematic drawing to customers.
Due to schematic drawing is our intellectual property which is only for my company internal use .
Wish you may kindly understand.

Please kindly advise us about the problem , so that I can check it with our technician for assistance.

Thanks in advise and have a nice day,
B. Regards,
IRIS

Does anyone have a schematic for the Rodotron 666? Is it a dual focus monitor?

all these chassis are almost identical except a few custom modules, the dual focus chassis should be the same as the single focus except the crt socket and flyback
the board you mention is the switching board for the resolution

http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/images/0/0c/Rodotron_CH-666_Schematic.pdf

for two chassis to do this is strange, what video input are feeding the monitors?

Thanks for the response! A few friends of mine have these monitors on a Virtual Striker game board. They work for a while and then the 2 components on the daughter board burn up. I test them with a monitor tester which has various patterns and resolutions. I have only ever see these monitors in Virtual Striker cabinets. I have not seen them anywhere else. The 28" (model 828H) and 20" Wei Ya monitors are generally repairable. I have fixed many of them although I do not have schematics for them.

v.striker is a 24khz game so the only thing i could imagine that would possibly cause an issue is the impedence switch on the remote board being set wrong-not sure whether being set on vga with a ega input for a length of time would cause this or not but its worth investigating
