Wells Gardner k7500 question
« on: February 21, 2011, 07:38:46 pm »
I can use some expert help.  I recently purchased a "Perfect Solution" JAMMA switcher to easily swap between games of Golden Tee Complete and Silver Strike Bowling.  Both games play independently when hooked to my Medium Res Wells Gardner K7500.  They also appear to be playing when connected to the JAMMA switcher, but the screen is blank.

I have recently put in a cap kit on the monitor and tried adjusting all of the pots on the satellite board as well as adjust the horizontal hold on the chassis with no luck.  I have tried contacting the only help listed in the instruction manual, but the advice I received was to hook the DSUB connectors together, which with my limited knowledge I thought was just for a VGA or SVGA connection, not for a medium Res monitor.  I did try hooking these together and got a picture, but I couldn't completely stop it from flipping, even after adjusting the pots.  I also smelled smoke after a while.

AM I crazy, or should the DSUB connectors not be used for a medium Res monitor (I.e., the JAMMA connection should work on it's own)?  I am starting to think that I have a bad board.
