AVGA3000 + Mame + Neogeo = Picture squished vertically
« on: February 14, 2011, 09:05:13 pm »
Hi guys,

Got my mame cab up and running today, its avga3000, jpac, windows vista 32bit. I ran Gavin's avres program to make the .ini's for resolution. When i try to play neogeo games the picture looks just fine horizontally but vertically it only takes about half of the screen up. Is there anyway to get the NeoGeo games to take up the whole screen vertically?

Thanks,
Gavin

Guess I sort of figured it out, I have a 19" kortek chassis with a samsung tube. It's a true cga monitor so it seems I have to choose whether I want to play fullscreen hori games or have the option of playing vert games with my hori games squished vertically. Since I dont plan to adjust the pots regularly I suppose that I am going to stick with hori games since I mainly built this for neo games. If anyone has any advice on how to make vert games fit with my current setup I'm open to suggestions :)
