Anyone help with monitor decision?
« on: August 21, 2003, 04:08:39 am »
Hi there this is my first post here. I have been lurking for about 3 weeks now, and am going to build my own cab. So the questions start, I have not been able to fing out any info about this monitor choice, so I was wondering if anyone has had one of these?

VISION PRO 27" SVGA MONITOR - From Happ Controls.

It seems like a nice big monitor for a small price? Lets face it price has a lot to do with it for me, as I can save $200, and spend it better on other bits and bobs.

Will I need a JPAC to run it from my AMD 1Gig with a GF3 card. The GF3 card does have a svga out though, so will that power it with out needing the JPAC?

Anyways thanks for the help...

That monitor hooks up just like a computer monitor. You do not need a j-pac.

I just may be returning my busted 9200 tomorrow in taking a trip down the street to Happ Controls to pick one of these up.  I bet it won't break after 4 days!

Anyone have one of these and can comment on the picture quality/lifespan ??   :-X

I have heard good things about the 19" standard res ones.  But that doesn't really relate to the 27" SVGA ones. Really the only specific models of monitors I have ever heard anything bad about are the Wells Gardner G-08 and the Wells Gardner D-9200.
