How are the Rom game speeds on the Wii?
« on: January 27, 2011, 07:40:11 pm »
I remember on my dreamcast NES and Genesis would run flawlessly, but SNES would be slow.

On the Wii, do they still have the same issue of running slow? and how do Neo Geo and N64 roms run?

They run fine, some N64 roms have very minor graphical issues, but I havnt ran into a rom yet that isnt playable yet.  I havnt tried PSX games on it yet, so I cant report on that.

Also a big + is that on the NES and SNES games you can use the wiimote as a light gun on those games.

I didn't find that info until after I bought a snes w/ super scope to play Battle Clash on.

PSX on the wii? <looks up info>  I'll need to check lightgun support for point blank at some point.

So the speed is perfect as if I was playing them on a PC?

Goldeneye (and I assume Perfect Dark) don't play at full speed.  I haven't tried other N64 games, but those do NOT play well.

SNES and NES are perfect in my experiences as well.

Well I should say I never did play GoldenEye or Perfect Dark.  I never liked FPS on the N64.

I did play a handful of N64 games and the only problem I found was that the start menu on Ocarina of Time had some minor graphical errors, but it played great.

I have the virtual console game of Cruisn USA and it plays just fine; cept the steering is a little touchy. No speed or graphical issues.
