Hey team
First let me say I am a sucker for home console stuff,
especially Nintendo (& vintage stuff), and have a very large collection of NES games and peripherals. The short of it is, I have several machines, & can kinda use all the real estate I can right now.
I had a Super-Pac that I had cleaned up pretty good and the side and front art were re-stenciled. There was a nice 19'' VGA CRT monitor installed and I threw in a 60-1 JAMMA board.
Though the cabinet was missing it's original CPO and bezel, it still looked very nice, and worked very well, as I had created an aftermarket bezel and CP that was well made.
A good friend of mine had recently sold a pin, and had two others- and was looking for a multigame machine to put in his home gameroom between the two.
He knew I might be willing to sell the 60-1 Super Pac and a proposition was made:
He offered a NES ROB full kit with all pieces, gyros, in original box with everything.
Also, a nice working VECTREX machine, with a 50-1 VecFlash card with lots of games. There was also a little grab bag with about 26 NES games (22 of which I already had), a little carrying case, several black sleeves, an extra game genie, booklets etc.
He wanted to trade straight across for the multigame. At first I wasn't sure, but as he also owns a print shop, he offered to also print me a new set of Atari System 1 side art and a few instruction cards, which I badly need for my RoadBlasters machine.
So, after all this is said and done, I felt it was worth it to me,
and that's really the bottom line, but I got a little scrutiny from friends that come over often, saying that was idiotic on my part.
So I'd like your opinion, and possible price checks on this stuff-- does it seem like a fair trade considering the ROB was complete in box, and the Vectrex is very nice and has the 50-1 cart?
And the printing too?
Tell me what you think. I'd like to hear your opinion.
