XBOX360 OR PS3 CONTROLS FOR CAB.

Ive built mame machine past but now i wanna xbox360 or p3s arcade cab or mame+360/ps3 and i was wondering for controls etc....

Question??

Could you strip this controller and add use the wiring and add to a arcade machine controls bit like a J-pac etc.. with me???
So you could have ps3 or xbox360 cab? ie use the buttons on say mortal combat cab or any cab etc...etc.. and use the wiring from real acrade pro.
so you using the old arcade control panel but with new wiring.
add some new buttons and new control stick etc.. If you follow me etc....what iam sort of thinking.....basicly using the guts

As this comes with a lead to go into xbox360  etc..






I know you can with the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 Ex Premium VLX which sells at $200 dollors etc... you can but i was thinking of a cheaper option hence i only want the wiring setup.


So with a bit or wiring surely we could have mame and ps3 controls on 1 control pannel using the insides of the above stick and j-pac for pc ?


Would this be a good plan of action ? ? ?

Any info? that could help out before i start spending ?

xbox360 sticks/controller already works for pcUSB/mame. you can just wire the controller for xbox360 then you have xbox and pc support.


also I have a brand new sealed xbox360 tournament edition stick for sale. PM if any interest.

Either of those controllers would wrok on a Windows PC as is.  You could get away with just using a simple USB switch (Like what you'd see in a KVM) to switch the controls between your MAME pc and the PS3 or 360. o.O

No i don't wanna use stick into mame (pc) etc...  i want new buttons and better control stick ie build a new panel but nick the guts as i wanna use with xbox360 or PS3 in side a arcade cab.

On the same control panel etc.... more buttons and another control stick for mame that but wired up different.

ie say you got 4 PLAYER control panel etc....

2 of them wired up to pc for mame
2 wired up for xbox360 or ps3. so its still 2 player on both so 2 lots have there own wiring completely different to the mame setup.

^ yes that is possible.

you can also have it all if you want. all you have to do is wire 5+(red wire controllers) and ground from both controller(lets say ipac and xbox360 pad). thats how I have ps2 and xbox360 pcbs in same stick(for tourneys)
