Any way to skip on gamelist?

So the all gamelist for mame is about 6k, any way loadman to skip to a letter or something?

Well if you turn off 'Track selected game list and game' (options-gui-options-gameslists/misc) then it should select the first gamelist of each emu.  You can work it that way

That would work if I could put the game lists for each emulator in a certain order, but I don't see that option in there.

On the 'Other Emu Config' tab it lists all the emulators.   On the bottom of the list there are four buttons:   New, Del, and a finger up, and a finger down.   I believe you just have to highlight an emulator and use the finger buttons to move it up and down the list.  This gets it in the order that you desire.   

This is speculation on my part since I use Mala tree myself, but I believe that's how that's supposed to work anyway.

Ah yes, my mistake.  You are correct, I do not see any finger buttons on the gamelist page.  I suspect that it might sort the gamelists alphabetically, so maybe you could put a number in front of the gamelists to control the order.  Something like 1Shooters, 2Sports, etc etc.   But I could see how having that number in front might not be desirable.   Just a thought.   

You could also try out Mala Tree to see if thats an option you like.  It's not for everyone, but I like it.  It's really the most user friendly option I feel.

First you just have to use MalaTree.exe to create the tree structure.
There are two types of items in Mala Tree:  Menus and Gamelists.
So for me, my tree looks something like this

MAIN MENU
  -  MAME menu
        - All Games gamelist
        - Favorites gamelist
  -  NES menu
        - All Games gamelist
        - Favorites gamelist


For each item in the tree, you need to specify a layout.
For each gamelist in the tree, you also need to specify what emulator it's using.

You can order the menus and gamelists to be in whatever order you want.

Once you've created your tree file, you have to go into Mala's settings and turn on the Tree option.
