zinc control questions
« on: August 18, 2003, 11:40:00 am »
ok, zinc works fine when I launch the gui, but I tried launching with the wrapper and it seems all my controls have changed.  Now whenever i hit a button it seems to pause the game and do some sort of weird thing where it redraws the screen one item at a time.  How do I get my controls to work with zinc from the command line?

you need to setup the various zinc cfg files via a zinc front end and then point zinc to all of those cfg files when you laucnh zinc via command line switches.... if you zimply type zinc 1 and expect the game to run correctly then you are sadly mistaken.... a whole slew of command line arguments have to be passed for zinc to function properly.

OK, can anyone help me with those command line options?  I used zincgui and set everything up, so did that create the proper config files?  How do I point to them? I couldn't find much help on the zinc site and I know people here have gotten it to work.....

go to the command line, navigate to zinc

type "zinc"

all the options will be printed to the screen, it's pretty self explanitory.
