has anyone removed their apex tv from the case?
« on: August 17, 2003, 12:52:47 pm »
i just bought a 24" apex, i know all the pros and cons i like it perfectly for my console cabinet, but anyways it sticks out the backa good 6", and i paranoid to take the back off,
has anyone done this?
any pics of it with the back off?
does the front stay attached with the back removed?
is it possible to just cut away the section that protrudes?
what about the video imputs? do they ned to be moved?
shold i just say to heck with it and cut a hole in the back door of the cab?

im kinda paranoid to start taking it apart as it works so good the way it is, but i wan the back door back on the cab.....

alright, i over came my fear and took the plunge.

the back comes off super easy, 8 screws. the back serates perfectly from the front, and hte bottom is stil lthere, the a/v jacks are on their own bezel so they stay too, there wasa ton of room inside the tv, so with the back off, it fit in my cabinet perfectly and the door closes for the first time sice i got it 8)

so to anyone who has or gets a an apex tv, the back comes off reall yeasy, just keep it incase you need it later. i will put up some pics today hoepfully of the new montior in place and how i wedged it in there
