Need a quick hand exiting mame.
« on: December 14, 2010, 09:10:12 am »
This probably pretty straight forward but this is my first go with non windows GUI mame.  While playing a game, hitting esc brings me back to the Rom list.  How can I make esc exit mame completely?

What FE or how are you launching your games?

It shouldnt put you back to the rom list if you are using GameEx to launch the game...  check your MAME settings.

In GameEx you launch a game, hit escape, and nowyou are back to GameEx.

He isn't very clear about what he wants, but I read his OP to mean that he wants to exit Mame his FE (GameEx).  Which doesn't exactly make much sense now that I think about it.   :dunno

He's been using for a couple of years now so something may have changed on his system or what he wants done.

K, spell it out exactly for us please.

My guess is that he is running a MAME with a built in GUI, such as MAME32.
Old, but not obsolete.
