Help with CP art.
« on: November 16, 2010, 08:52:38 pm »
im messing about getting the layout for my CP, got 2 joysticks, 6 buttons per player, a trackball, spinner, player 1 and 2 buttons, 2 coin buttons and 2 admin buttons,

i've drawn how the panel will be cut, and am playing with outlines before i put a background picture in, but i'm not sure what i have looks right,

the colour will be changed, i want something to look like it's neon tho, not sure of what background pic yet, but i want it to be pretty simple, maybe even just a gradient of a couple of colours,

the bits inside the outlines will be a solid colour, to emphasize the controls, and the background image will show thru everywhere else, any button labels i put in will be inside the control outline boxes.

and yes i know one joystick is the 'wrong way round'  that's intentional to cope with me having arthritis in my fingers, i can play for only so long pounding the fire buttons with one hand, then it becomes agony, so this way i can just swap to the other controler and knacker my other hand pounding the buttons.

i don't think you need your control panel to be that big, unless you plan on eating your dinner off it.   :D

nice solution for the arthritis in your fingers. fluorescent is always a good idea these days!
