D&D Questions
« on: November 15, 2010, 08:19:11 pm »
Hello,

I am new here but have been a lurker for quite some time. Anyhow the time has finally come, and I got myself my first arcade cabinet.
I picked this beast up for free and it works perfectly:

My question, the top 2 inches of the monitor has some "pinching"?? That's the best way I can describe it...I had trouble getting a good pic of it for an example. I was wondering if anyone knew what would be causing this?

Also, when I opened the back up I noticed this green wire just hanging there cut...what is it and could this be the cause of the pinching? And where do I hook it back in to?

I also found these 2 wires just laying in there not hooked to anything:

Thanks everyone!

likely a faulty "pump up" cap on the vert output IC
usually 100-300uF /35v

g wire is a monitor ac ground (SMPS type) should be connected to incoming ac gnd

the other two jus' ignore - not used
