PS3 and Emulators
« on: November 14, 2010, 10:28:39 am »
I have a fat ps3 on 3.41 which i use the psgroove/psbreak mod on.

I have the snes emulator installed and love playing the old games on my tv. However the only other emulators i can find are nes, master system, gameboy and sega saturn emulators.
I would like a genesis and maybe ps1/ps2 emulator as well. Does anyone know of any that run on ps3?

Ive also heard of AsbestOS or something which installs linux back on the ps3. I could then run emulators on that. Is this easy to do? Id like to keep the standard interface so my other half and kids can still play on it.

the PS3 has a built in PS1 emulator, you just pop a disc in and go?
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I had linux on my PS3 for a while... it ran like crap (I had Yellow Dog).

Maybe newer versions run better, but I don't know.

I did have emus using yellow dog linux on it before the firmware was upgraded and the OtherOS option was removed. The problem was that it took ages for linux to boot and then it wasnt that easy to run the emus. The snes emu is great using the PSGroove mod but oviously i want the other emus that no one has ported over yet (or what i can find)
