mamewah and winipac
« on: November 10, 2010, 02:17:07 pm »

I've been using mamewah v1.65 as a FE in my cab for some time now but have recently been trying to use winipac to reprogram the minipac for different emulators. I've added

winipac_file               c:\spin\winipac\winipac.exe
mamewah_ipc_file       c:\spin\winipac\def.ipc

into the Misc Settings of my mamewah config file and

ipc_file_or_path  c:\spin\winipac\noalt.ipc

into the emulator .ini but it doesn't work. When I quit out of mamewah there is nothing in the mamwah logfile about winipac.exe and all of the new lines in the .ini files have been deleted. I gather there has been some problems with winipac and mamewah at some point - but I would rather not change the version of mamewah in my cab unless I have to. Does anybody have any advice - this is driving me nuts!!!!
