Marcade Mini - A two-player bartop machine
« on: November 10, 2010, 11:37:58 am »
Hi, this is my first post on this board. My homemade arcade game called the "Marcade Mini" is finished. It is my first build but probably not the last. It is a two-player bartop model and it plays several emulators. Frontend is MalaFe. Built by using parts laying around at home. I am no woodworker but I think the result was great for being me. The controller is made with the keyboard hack, no ghosting detected. Lots of work though mapping keys to controls. I'm a noob compared to you guys but hey I love my machine.

Yup my first (and so far only) cab was/is just a solid black paint job.  I need to get some artwork on it  :banghead:
It's only been 4 years now since I built it.   :lol  If only the games weren't so much fun to play.   :badmood:   :laugh2:

Also, excellent build MCE and welcome to the "family"

Yeah, black marble is great, the coolest contact paper ever  ;D

Thanks for welcoming me to the arcade family. But i have a lot to learn. I am more of a pinball geek, having 6 pinball machines at home (TAF, STTNG, WC94, RS, HS2, FP2).

Maybe I rushed building this machine, but I wanted to play so badly. I learnt a lot in the process and it was great fun. My next project is to convert the attached Sega Virtua Fighter 3 Team battle cabinet to Mame -> J-pac -> Jamma. Anyone having tips of how to rewire the Sega Model 3 wiring to Jamma without damaging the original wiring?
