We all know that McD are some of the worst burgers (IMO) and consumers seem to agree.  Why do they sell so many price, advertising, brain washing?   

Here is a survey that we know is true but tell that to the McD Zombies.

Mcdonalds is good, you know it, try going somewhere else and getting a double cheese burger for a buck. But I also like to point out that In n Out is number one!!! 

Keep in mind, McD's is all over the world. Fuddruckers is good, but I wouldnt call that "fast food".

Just looking at a Whitecastle almost made me sick to my stomach.  The stuff looked about as bad as school lunch food.  Smelled bad too.

 Personally, I dont care much for burgers.  And if you buy a meal at most fast food places today... it cost nearly as much as a steak... which would be a much better meal.

 Not only that...but most fast food places tend to use the absolute worst meat.  Laden with high saturated fat content.  Thats why they are so cheap.  You are eating mostly artery clogging Lard... that has almost no nutritional value for you at all.  (which is why fast food tends to exit the body quite quickly...)

 If I Must eat fast food, I opt for the chicken (solid, not nugget crud).  Lot less fat, and has some actual value to it.

In N out fries suck, i don't see why people rave about them so much. You think fresh cut potatoes would taste better than frozen fries. Nope, not at in-n-out.

Man, I miss Fuddrucker's. When I lived in Houston, we used to go maybe once a year, but it was always good.

Really wish In-and-Out would expand, but their reasons for not doing so are sound.

I had a long drawn out reply but you wont read/understand it. So I'll reply with this: You must be eating some really nasty steaks considering most meals at fast foot places are about $5

They only suck if you get them to-go, and you live farther than 3 minutes away. Then they get soggy and weird. But if you eat them there ho HO are they good!!!

Too bad the McRib owns your face. I have eaten 5 in the last 3 days. Might even get one for lunch today.

I would also scrooge mcduck the spicy mustard at fuddruckers, is SO. DAMN. GOOD.

Hm haters gonna hate.... Personally I love mcd's. Although by the sound of the other thread the people that work at your fast food outlets are spastic. An ex of mine would change dam near everything in the burger, whereever we were and I can't remember havin any issues with them getting it wrong.

I had In and Out in Los Angeles, amazing. When I went to 5 guys in Pittsburgh is was just as good as in and out, but the fries were better. Fuddruckers Ive had but dont remember anything about them. Whataburger (San Antonio) was good, it was neat how they brought it to your table at a fast food joint. I thought Hardee and Carl Jrs were the same place..... slightly better then McDs. I love me some sonics (elkton,Md) , but more for the chili cheese tots and coneys. Jack in the box should be WAY higher on that list.

ok i know it looks nasty... but man it was good. 4 Fresh beef patties, fresh tomatoes and veggies, hot links, chili, pastrami, cheese, egg ( i think).  My brother and I split it.  man 2 months later I'm still working it off.

What are you talking about, 14 dollars? You can get a half pound burger, fries, and beer for 10 bucks. I just went there for lunch.

No joke. This is in Niagara Falls (Canadian side). Maybe they gave us the "tourist" menu; The Dennys there has crazy prices too compared to in the US.

Totally this.  I was in Niagara Falls once and had breakfast - nothing fancy - eggs and bacon. For two, it cost me almost $50.

Ah. Thats brutal. I suppose thats understandable then. I saw the "tourist" menu when I was in Japan. A damn Big Mac Combo (comes with an egg, probably made of whale meat) was about 16 bucks american. It was weird though, the little authentic japanese places were super cheap. I only ate a mcdonalds cause I got lost.

I try to not eat any fast food, but every once in a while I'll go to Sonic. The $1 burger is really good IMO. And the JR. Breakfast Burritos......

Went to McDonalds yesterday. I ordered a couple plain cheeseburgers as part of the order. The gal behind the counter says, "Ok, I'm going to go ahead and change your cheeseburgers to hamburgers."

I go, "No, why? I want cheeseburgers."

She says, "I can save you twenty cents by making them hamburgers."

At this point, my wife and I are completely confused. I say, "Um, but I don't want hamburgers, I want cheeseburgers".

She then says "OH! you wanted cheese on them? I thought you wanted them plain! Ok, I'll change them back to cheeseburgers."
 

I always thought it was implied by calling it a CHEESEburger, you want cheese on it....I have never come across that one before.

Rare huh? That didnt taste fatty to you? I went to a place in SD called Burger Lounge, asked for a rare burger, and they asked "are you sure, we cant be held responsible if you get ill". So I was like shut up and give me what I want. Got the burger, and I think they used a 50/50 meat to fat ratio or something because man. There was a slick on the roof of my mouth that would have rivaled the damn gulf of mexico. Blaugh.

Nope - wasn't fatty at all...very tasty.  It also appeared to be a house ground burger rather than bulk ground beef from a supplier.  It had that finer texture to it that you don't get otherwise.

Been to several different Fuddruckers so many times... never seen a $14 burger.  Not even the Fuddruckers in the middle of Foxwoods Casino charges that much.

Fuddruckers is by far my favorite on that list.  Most of those places don't even exist in New England.

Heh.  You cant taste the fat / grease if its heated up.  (and or mixed in well with other stuff)

 Check the fat content (esp. saturated fat) on the nutritional information sheets / internet areas.  MC'ds supposedly puts that info on the bottom of the tray sheet... which most never turn over. 

 Most people dont seem to understand how much fat, esp. saturated fat, is bad for them.  I strongly suggest people start looking into this stuff.  You put garbage into your system, and while you might not feel it right away... it will add up quickly, and your health will deteriorate rapidly.  And or you will be up for many serious operations in your futures.

Armani's Grill, Nanaimo BC Canada $16-18 with fries, not exactly fast food pricing - but you don't feel ripped off afterwards.
Second Best:
The Black Forest Restaurant, White Rock, BC Canada $12 with fries

I make a mean burger.

There's something about fast food that literally makes me sick. I can't eat it, but every once in a while I have to eat something and they're the only places open late enough. Out of burger king, wendies, and mcdicks I prefer BK though they make me more sick than mcdonald's.

Hit me with the recipe. I've tried at least three variations. One was too sweet (sugar), one came out more like BBQ sauce (vinegar would be my guess) and the last came out more like pizza sauce (it ended up in a pizza ) It still puzzles why, to this day, I simply cannot find a commercial ketchup that does NOT use HFC.

I would like to try this recipe next but I'm put off by the cook down time of twelve hours. I once left a pot of homemade tomato sauce simmering overnight (about 12 hours there)  by accident and the resultant acid was probably strong enough to strip the paint off of an old car and etch through metal. I took one taste of that witches brew and my esophagus clamped down tighter than a virgins   at a volcano party.

Hard to do considering its in so many products, but if youre willing to pay a little more, you can get good stuff. I also have diabetes, and as odd as this sounds, HFCS raises my blood sugar levels way more than just regular sugar does. You should try it.

It's "Simply Heinz".  Hunts should also have no HFCS in any of their ketchup since at least a few months ago unless they reversed that policy.

I don't notice much of an initial difference in taste, but the sugar based stuff seems to hold up better once the package is opened.

The first time I had a Five Guys burger I thought it was excellent, but I've liked them less and less each time.  They're too greasy.  I just had a burger at Five Napkin in NYC.  It was one of the best I've ever had.  And there's a place in Miami called Tobacco Road that has incredible burgers.  But I don't think you'd call either of those places fast food.  One is a straight up dive bar, actually.
