Wheres Waldo CP Project
« on: October 21, 2010, 03:12:21 pm »
Thought I would start/move my thread here since it seems more appropriate.

I think I'm done with my CP artwork. No real theme except placing a million characters in sort of a where's waldo approach all having to do with games I've spent quite a bit of time on. :dizzy:
All controller pieces ordered. They will be green happ competition sticks with green happ buttons.
I'm thinking of mounting the dustwasher underneath but have to search on how to mount the sticks so that is possible. I'm not going to have plexi so will it even be possible to do mount under?

Box building this weekend.

Don't have room in my house for a full cab so this is a small project consisting of just the CP for now.

Comments welcomed

i'm sure some expert photoshop guys could pick out a million things i did wrong but yea, it's my first real attempt at a photoshop anything... it was probably 20 full hours to get to that point. I got lazy at the end and only chose characters with white or black backgrounds. Pulling them out of a scene took forever. Goro took the longest which is why you only see half of him. There is some amazing art on the web, just finding at a high enough resolution was tricky.

I like the button halos, good job if thats your first real photoshopping.   As for the cluster of characters, theres nothing wrong with how you did it; Im just not a fan of the idea.....I'm more of a "pick a theme and go with it" kinda guy
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I dislike the mix of pixelated and rendered characters, but other than that, looks pretty good.

I like the halo around the buttons, but I like having one theme.

The Comp has a pretty big base. I think your left stick is going to be a tight squeeze. You're either going to obliterate Blanka or have it right up against the bottom area with no extra space.

holy crap you are sooo right. TIGHT squeeze, and i'm going to have to round the corners on the box but it makes it. BARELY. At one point I thought I might have to start over  :banghead: Blanka made it through.

My left palm rests against the corner of the cp. I can't tell if this is going to be annoying yet but it is what it is at this point.
