Marquee Size
« on: October 14, 2010, 05:01:39 pm »
I'm assuming there isn't a "default" marquee size.  The overall bartop would be around 30" tall.  I'm trying to figure out how tall my marquee slot should be for my bartop.  It is going to be 24" wide and right now is drawn out to be 4" tall.  Is that a good ratio or would it make sense to be a little taller.  I don't really have a specific marquee in mind and have tried to prototype it.  It seems pretty good, but hard to imagine without the cabinet also.

Is there any set of ratios that seem pretty common?
Does 24" wide and 4" tall sound pretty good or is that going to be too skinny and look odd?

Thanks in advance,
upprc

by stand-up cabinet's marquee is 23" by 7" (23x6 viewable)

So I'd think at 24x4 it would be a tad narrow... but all in all its always a matter of tastes.
