Getting windows 7 boot screen in 640 x 480 at 60hz
« on: October 12, 2010, 11:17:32 am »
To set Vista legacy green bar:
bcdedit /set bootux basic
Back to default Windows 7 boot animation:
bcdedit /set bootux standard
(or bcdedit /deletevalue bootux)
To get rid of all this crap at boot time:
bcdedit /set bootux disabled

here u guys, now windows 7 boot will sync fine.

Thanks for this, but I still have an issue. Windows still outputs 1024x768@60hz for about half a second before showing the low resolution boot screen at 640x480@60hz. During that brief half second a get a rapid clicking sound from my Arcade Monitor as it can’t sync. This has previously damaged my old chassis.

Is there anyway to stop this?
