Request: A large, crisp version of attached pic
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:10:55 am »
Hey all,

I am in dire need of the UAC logo from Doom 3, and cannot find anything to rival the quality of this pic:

Unfortunately, as you can see, it's really, really small.  I'm hoping someone has the ability to expand it to a larger size (>1280) for me, and make it as crisp as possible.  If at all possible, I need to keep the transparent background, as I will likely be changing the colour.  I don't have Adobe Illustrator, so something simple like PNG would be amazingly awesome.

Let me know if someone is able to do this for me.

Thanks!

Rick

Just a quick autovectorization went a long way, but the text at the bottom totally mangled itself.

I'm digging for my Doom 3 disk to see if I can extract the original image to work with.

Dude, that's amazing.  If you don't find it, I'll see what I can do about fixing up that text.  Wow.  Thanks!

Well I decompressed all the .pk4 files and scanned all the textures and didn't see anything else that was immediately helpful.

Hope that vectorized enlargement works for you!

That does need a little tweaking though. The lines are not straight, although that autovect will save you time!

Also awesome.  I think we have a winner.  (I also tried and failed to find the proper font for the "Union Aerospace" name.)

Thank you!
