  • I want my own arcade controls!
probably a stupid question about remapping keys
« on: August 10, 2003, 02:24:04 am »
on my control panel everything works fine except player 2's 5th and 6th button. at first i thought it was a wiring problem but in notepad player 2's 5 and 6 are coming up as "i" and "k". how do i change MAME's keys to recognize i and k as the buttons they should be? or the other way around, what does MAME use for the player 2 5th and 6th buttons so i can reprogram my IPAC?

You can press tab in game to bring up a config menu.  From there go to change general controls.  Scroll down to the controls you want to change.

Another way of configuring controls is editing an ini file in the ctrlr directory of mame.
