KT-2914f dead (now buzzing)
« on: September 19, 2010, 12:59:16 am »
ok long story short bought a goldentee cab KT-2914f inside able to run at vga svg so I ran to pc plugged in
nothing slight neck glow nothing else ...no onscreen display etc

pulled chassis to see if any burns etc ... bingo found a real good one, crapper is im not sure what resister is toast as it burnt the screening on both top and bottom of the board
I think its r611 but not for sure . Burnt it pretty good burnt pads and r103 next to it pretty good.

of corse I need to figure out what made the resister fry.

looking over schematics now

r310 fried also .........

!!update!! replaced 3 resisters 1/6w with 1/4 watt  with there sizes r310 2.7k / r611 1.5k / r103 10k  now I have some sign that its plugged in other than the little green light on duaghter board ..... a buzzing sounds like a car horn off in the distance lol either case still no life to speak of
