How to properly adjust a monitor?
« on: September 18, 2010, 05:24:45 pm »
I have a Wells Gardner k7400 monitor that the previous owner tinkered with too much and the color though are close it just isn't how it should be.

I tried adjusting it using the method listed from the k7500 manual but that doesn't seem to be working like it should when I get to step 8 the colors start bleeding on the right side of the monitor and it seems to look best with all the R,G,B-Bias on the neckboard fully CCW.

Where should the subcontrast be set to? is there a method to set it correctly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like u have a weak crt .
rejuvenate . then do a rough adjust , let it run for an hour or 2 . then perform the listed procedure .
set the sub C to mid point

I was having similar issues on my K7400, but that guide you posted guided me through adjusting it to a much better picture. I hope you got yours adjusted properly.

... CCW is facing the tube, or facing the back? I adjusted mine all the way 'down' as CCW.
