LCD MOnitor Question
« on: September 14, 2010, 06:36:49 pm »
I know this isn't an arcade monitor, but I was curious if anyone had any experience with HannspreeLCD monitors.  I have a 25" Hannspree widescreen Monitor (HF257) that went white after only 6 months of use.  It wasn't mine originally so its not like i can do anything through warranty.  The screen is a solid white no matter which input is selected and no menus pop up.  I would really like to fix this and search brought up nothing.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

check for an open surface mount fuse on the (guessing ) panel sub board.

smaller monitors have an interface pcb w/panel connections. have had this symptom when the fuse opens .
typical value was 2A. may be higher with a 25 "
