Ok so I was working with an electrician today in my house, the electrician was alone and he said his assistant was on vacation and that he needed someone with experience with power tools and electricity to help him around so I helped him. Everything was cool. Until my mom and my sister arrive at the house. They started arguing about something I can't remember... anyways they both hopped into my mom's Grand Vitara and continued the arguing there. My mom sped off and it sounded like she hit something. Then the electrician and I heard some screaming and crying and when we stepped outside to see I couldn't believe it... there it was. My brother's dog twitching around in a pool of his own blood. My mom and sister were crying and screaming like crazy! The electrician told me to get a pickaxe and a shovel, so we could bury it. After we buried it, I standed in front of the blood... thinking how the hell am I going to explain this to my brother? How would he react? Dang...

I watched my aunt's shitzu get completely flattened under someone's tires when I was in 2nd grade. It was pretty crazy.

Simple.  Blame the driver of the car and the person distracting the driver.

What was the dog doing out in front of the garage?  Who's fault was that? Did anyone learn anything from this?

If someone (even a family member) killed my dog - I would go mental.

After a week of the incident, go to an animal shelter or buy a pedigree to find a similar dog. 

Your brother will appreciate it and the pain and loss of the animal will be replaced by a new and loving pet.

The two offenders will have to live with what they have done.

I never owned any pet(fish?) but is it ok to let dogs outside? I dunno..if I had one Id probably keep an eye on it while it was outside.

Yup.  A very personal decision.  Took us over a year last time.

Anyways my brother reacted fine, my sister was the one having a hard time crying a lot.

Now, maybe.  If he cared about the dog, those feelings of sadness creep up on you at odd times.  Even years later.

About 6 months ago I was driving home at night on a street with a 55mph speed limit.  The road was pretty empty with the exception of a van probably 50 yards ahead of me (pretty far ahead, not sure exactly the distance).  I watched as a small dog (possibly a coyote, but I'm not sure) walked out into the middle of the road and do the deer in headlights thing as the van plowed right through him without slowing down or hesitation.  When I drove past the dog I could see he was in multiple pieces, so there was no chance he was still suffering. 

I then managed to pull next to the van at the next traffic light when I looked over I see younger girl (possibly early 20's) texting away on her phone.  I'm fairly certain she had no idea what just happened and was simply wondering what that bump in the road was.  I'm not a violence person by any means, but thats the closest I've ever come to getting out of my car and screaming like crazy person at another car.

A few weeks ago I helped the woman across the street by, um, collecting her dog that had been stuck by a car & killed, then hit again multiple times.  Thank goodness it was dark out.  Such a shame.  Oh yeah, and blech.

That's too bad.. well hope they learn their lesson.  When driving you pay attention no matter what, they're just lucky it wasn't a child. I once saw a jeep hit a baby bear, it came out of nowhere but the guy braked right away and was able to stop. I guess it didn't hit it too bad because,I saw it crawl out from underneath, looked pretty healthy, then another cub passed in front and the mother ran by...

I'm used to outdoor dogs. My parents have a dog, about 13 human years old!, and we've always kept him outside.  He gets out of the way when the car turns on.  I imagine that dog didn't have enough time to get out of the way.

I remmember when i was 4 my dad's idiot friends thought it would be so funny to blow marijuana smoke in my dogs face.  I remmember seeing my dog, just standing there staring at nothing then all of a sudden he fell over on his side and acted like he was running.  My dad shook his head and told me the dog was hi, so he grabbed a 12 gauge and killed it.  Ya i cried, and to this day im not really sure why he killed it, i mean the dog was just on a good hi.

Probably should've at least gotten her license plate and reported it to the police.  I'm not sure they'd do anything, but it's worth a shot.

lmao.......its funny you say that, i had some very odd parents.  My mother kept me isolated most of my childhood, i didnt even know i had a sister till age 5.  She was raised with raised with my grandparents.  I didn't talk till the age of 5, doctors thought i was a mute.  My social skills are slim to none, i wasnt even allowed to cross the street till i was 13.  Wasnt allowed to be around other kids.  Im 30 now, and im getin better being around people but for the most part, but for the most part i rather be by myself or just me and my kids.  Not to worry though, i raised my kids to be very sociable, to have manners, and just to be plain friendly.  My mother though, well she is very much medicaded and isn't insane as long as she takes her medications.
