Home Theatre PC/ Playing Movies GUI
« on: September 03, 2010, 04:49:50 pm »
I saw this add on a local Kijiji for a HTPC loaded with 700 movies.
I ofter backup my movies onto my 500G EXT HDD.
I stream them via my XBOX.
I'd love something like this that  looked really good as I sometimes hook up my laptop via HDMI and play movies also.
Does anyone know what program this is ?
Sadly the seller will not respond.

I'm not sure what app that one is but another open source app is xbox media center, which can run on a modded xbox1 or a pc.

I have in my collection 6 xbox's. I love em ! The idea was one per TV. I think they have Slayers 2.7 or something with the 360 skin. I think it's great.
I know that XBMC can do soooo much more than I am doing with it.
I loved that image I posted, really just the size of the art.
I think that WMC might have a plug in or something that can do that, but I'm unsure.

None the less I took to google and noticed that XBMC is now for PC's, I personally had no clue.
I've downloaded it and look forward to trying it on the laptop.
I'll need to replace my hard drive that went after no more then 12hrs use. Sadly the laptop....well, it fell off a truck.....so the warranty is void.

I'm hoping that XBMC will allow me to use my existing laptop remote, if so I'll be stoked.
