ArcadeVGA/WG9200 PINK???
« on: August 08, 2003, 02:20:51 am »
Well, I have a slight problem. This may have been covered before...But I searched to no avail.

When running mame32, it  cranks up the red on the d9200 turning everything pink.
I can manually go into the setup on the monitor and turn it back down, making things look normal again.
I think this is a software/setting problem, because when  I look at the red saturation setting on the monitor menu, it's cranked nearly all the way up.

Anyone?

A bit confused.....

Are you saying that MAME is changing settings on the monitor ???

If so, this isn't likely to happen.  Go into the setup for the video card and look for color settings.  ATI based cards (and most other modern cards) have controls for tweaking the RGB components in relation to one another.  See if those are causing your problem.

Also, the 9200 has digital controls.  If it is necessary to save your settings (not sure, as I don't have one),  make sure you do so before exiting the menus.  This may not be necessary, but I have seen some monitors where it was.  Also make sure you fix the settings for each res (mode) you use.  It may store each of them individually and make it look like they changed on you when in reality, it just went into a different screen mode with it's own settings.
