Sega Megalo 410 mame conversion
« on: August 26, 2010, 10:59:34 am »
Ok so my Megalo 410 has finally arrived.Still waiting on for my jpac and arcadevga card, should be in next week.
Opened up the centre control panel and had a bit of a look inside,(does this thing look confusing as hell lol!) sorry if it is a bit of a silly question but i noticed 2 vga connections onto this board. Which one of the 2 would i need to plug into my Jpac once it arrives?

The Megalo 410 is capable of 31Khz for a direct PC connect.  It does not actually need an arcadevga board. AFAIK.   Not sure about the 2 vga connectors.

The monitor is a tri-sync, so you can use the JAMMA connector (or are these JVS only?) with your J-Pac and ArcadeVGA to get ALL arcade resolutions OR just use the PC VGA output in 640x480@60 into the monitors VGA 31kHz connector and only use the J-Pac for controls.

More info on the lovely Megalo 410 here: http://www.hard--candy.com/index.asp?page=Megalo+410

If the cabinet has the JVS wiring standard instead of JAMMA, you should sell your J-Pac and ArcadeVGA and get a JVS-Pac instead: http://jvspac.kirurg.org/
