Hi Guys,
So last year I built my first arcade machine but am moving to a new apartment in a few months. (Yes I have an arcade in my apartment

). I attached some pictures at the bottom of the post, and wanted to see if someone could give me some helpful suggestions. The podium section is all set as well as the LCD monitor with 4:3 Bezel. As you can see from the pictures there is a big awkward looking gap in the middle which looks a bit off. One option was to hide the wires behind my wall, but i'm renting an apartment in NYC and don't want to have to put holes in wall and start snaking wires through some area that's not mine and is more temporary. So basically the monitor is just hanging from a wall mount, and I bought a wire hider from home depot and covered it in matching black arcade vinyl. What I really wanted to do is build a showcase like monitor stand so that it doesnt need to hang on the wall, but also not be as bulky. I wanted the monitor stand to be as wide as the base of the podium so that it looks flush together. I don't want the monitor stand to be too deep as i'm trying to save space in my apartment. A thin box with maybe a slab of wood so that I can mount the monitor directly to it. I may end up needing to fasten the stand to the wall so that it holds it in place as it may not be deep enough to stand free. Anyone have any good suggestions? I would cover it with the same black vinyl to match the parts, and may do some graphics in the middle, or possibly put the marquee there.
(P.S. The last picture is just a bad paintshop fix that I may want it to look like. Just basically build a box in there. Either way the podium is great and the monitor works, its just missing something in the middle!
thanks
Jason
