New RPG set to boost your real-world productivity
« on: August 19, 2010, 04:48:13 pm »
An awesome new iPhone app was released today that is a mashup of the age-old to-do list and an RPG.  You put in real-world tasks and designate how important they are, when they're due, what type of skill the task requires (strength, stamina, intelligence, etc.), if it's a one-off thing or a recurring task.

Then as you complete the items on the real-world tasks your character gains experience points and levels up and gets loot and stuff.  The artwork is great and I've been extremely impressed in the limited time I've spent with it.

To-do lists have never been very useful for me because I make them and then forget them entirely.  Giving the to-do list a videogame spin and appealing to my innate desire to level-up my characters might be just the kick in the ass I need.  Anyway, check it out:

Have u played wii fit? it doesn't really have RPG elements and the trainer stuff isn't that useful int he wii fit Plus

If you had a quest each day that had you to do this and that exercise and use the phone in some sort of way (Like say pushups u have to do 20 to level up to beat the next guy and u have your nose touch the screen so the phone counts as you do the pushup)

If it has you doing physical exercises to level up then you playing ur character as a typical RPG that would be pretty cool cause the only way to advance in the game is to exercise

With the accelerometer and gyro's in many current smartphones wouldn't they be able to count most exercises?

You don't patent "counting excercises", you patent the METHOD for counting excercises. HELLO. THat's how the patent system works.

NO MORE!!
