Wavetek LCR55 meter
« on: August 05, 2010, 10:51:43 am »
Help !?

I have a Wavetek LCR55 (test meter) which I've been using to check capacitors in monitors I'm working on.  Out of the blue, the capacitance function quit working (all other functions seem to be working normally).  I get a number but its the same for any cap and not stable.  Fuse is good, battery is new, leads and their connections are good.  This is a pretty nice meter and I'd hate to lose it.

Anyone have any idea what may have happened or if possible to correct/repair ??
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice.....there is!!

Unfortunatley fuse is good. Thanks anyway.  Not worth the repair costs either.    :(
