So I am starting another crazy console mod and need to find a picture of a ps1 or ps2 memory card pinout or the memory card port on the console.

I just got in a Redant PS2 vga box.

I did not relize until I got it that it needs an outside power source.

the way they made the thing goes to a memory card dongle that looks like a memory card and plug's into the memory card slot on the console.

the thing that sucks with that is I loose a memory card port over it and Uhh No.

The idea is to take a female mono audio jack and solder it to the motherboard somewhere with the same voltage output as the memory cards port pin that match's the dongles pin for -/+

I don't know the correct voltage of them particular pins so I cannot do it just yet.

once I figure out the correct voltage I am going to cut off the mem card dongle wich would leave me the -/+ wires and I was going to solder them to a male mono audio jack.

one all is said and done then I could just plug the vga box into the console itself and dont have to worry about lossing a memory card port or making an adapter to plug into the wall so it would be just like connecting a pc speaker to a sound card type setup but using mono audio jack's over the stereo.

this is what the pinout for the +/- is for the dongle

note: the 2 pin set is on the left.

Just wanted to confirm that this box does a superb job as stock.

I have a 15" regular TV and hooked up the ps1 to a 15" flat crt vga and it was a huge improvement.

the box double scale's the lines but the filtering installed in this unit make it look like true vga pixel perfect and crystal clear with no lines showing anywhere and syphony of the night never looked better for me on any display to date..

I will never play the ps1 on a tv again for sure plus the sound jack on it with the pc speakers make it sound way better then the tv's mono sound.

trying it on the tv then the vga with pc speakers right after to compare it was like playing the same game but on a higher end console and I could not believe how much better it made the ol PSone look and sound.

Time to break out the ol deception series again lol.
