New Astro City Monitor Problem.
« on: July 23, 2010, 01:06:10 am »
Within this year i got a Sega New Astro City cabinet. I think the problem has been there since I got it the cab but its hard to notice when ingame but you can tell the top of the screen is a little crooked. More recently I've been more interested in finding out whats the cause just cause I don't want it to develop into something worse. This is my first crt cab so i'm not too good with diagnosing.

The monitor is a Nanao MS9-29S, in the pictures the problem is at the top left in all the pictures.
I also circled the problem area in red. I have also went in and did every adjustment possible thru the monitor adjustment panel and this is the best I could get it straight. It is a really small issue but just wanna fix it before it leads to something else

Thanks!

I/O

A pretty minor impurity. Look up convergence and color purity, you may be able to fix it. You might not want to - unless it does get a bit worse.

You could probably fix that minor convergence problem by using a small magnet (I mean a monitor magnet, similar to a fridge magnet) in just the right spot. Or you could just live with it - it isn't really very obvious.
