Driving Crazy
« on: July 06, 2010, 07:14:47 am »
A novel by Randy D Pearson.

This is the story of a guys purchase of a Crazy Climber cab, and subsequent road trip from Lansing, Michigan to Weedpatch, California to collect it. The adventure is driven by the fact that Jay and his friend Austin, are just about flat broke. I suspect the author did the road trip with just a few dollars just to see what would happen- the best stories always bear some relation to reality!

Can't say too much without giving some of the story away (besides, PBJ will have worked it out by looking at the front cover  :D ). But this is a great read. The two main characters work together well. And the road trip is a great adventure. I wish my road trips were that interesting. Most exciting thing to happen to me on a road trip was when i picked up a hitchhiker who was convinced Dolly Parton was a lesbian and was going to hell. That was 14 years ago. I haven't picked up a hitch hiker since.

Since we are all here because of a common love of old arcade games, I think many of you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

Randy is selling it here:

It's as cheap as chips- $12.99 US plus $3 postage within the states.

A timely bump for Randy (",)

This really is a good book, well worth the 16 bucks. What can you get for 16 bucks nowadays?

It's still on my list. I wonder if Randy is here as well. I know he is on http://www.atariage.com under the name "Atari Smeghead". I want his next book about my cab ;)
