Not to take away any business, you really have no idea how easy of a process it really is.

You need to remember though that I bricked my Wii good before realizing I needed that preloader thing-a-majig...and a copy of the NAND file!

It was actually pretty easy. I did it about a year ago. Having emulators and Doom II and such was fun for awhile (a lot better than playing emulated console games on a PC. You forget you're even playing on an emulator.) I still ended up selling my Wii though.... Anyway, just read this and you should be able to get it working. The only problem is that you may have recently updated your firmware...

if hes on dial up, it'd be easier and faster to go through SNAAAKE

Yeah.  Hopefully you didn't update your firmware to 4.3.  Doesn't look like it's been completely worked around yet.
