Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the frequency of threads from new members who update their progress in the first post of their thread increasing?
Maybe I'm out on a limb here, but I find the only time it doesn't bother me when people do that is when the project is finished and the thread is really long. It's OK if the owner of the thread posts a final shot up front to save wading through 10 pages. A before and after shot on a restoration or maybe a single shot of the finished build to encourage people to read the whole thing.
The issue for me is when every screw or coat of primer gets bolted into the original post. You wade through pages of text just to realize at the bottom that you have already seen the latest update in the first post
Updated to add: Is there any value in adding this as a 14th Rule of the forum, or is it just me that it bothers?
