Got news for you, it markets really well to 8 year old girls too

Got it for myself, but true to form my kid has to see the new Wii game too. Immediately liked the dialogue between both heroes and villains, but also like the "pick up and play" style as well as the fact that it was automatically two player. Have to be honest and say that I didn't know what to make of it at first, until we got deep into the first episode where
Robin is turned into a cat. My little girl laughed until she cried, as did I, but I loved it...thought it was classic 60s style Batman humor!
My wife even enjoys it, primarily again because you don't have to remember a lot of control sequences to be successful at it. What I mean is that while training with Wildcat is useful, you can get through the levels pretty well by just knowing how to punch.
I mean no harm here, because as I said, the game itself is a lot of fun, just as it is....but because I like Black Canary, Flash, etc., I wish it gave a little more control over those characters (and maybe it does further in - we're only to episode 2).
All in all, would have to give it an A just for the fun in playing it. Highly enjoyable!
