Broken Neck/ Monitor Orientation Question
« on: May 26, 2010, 05:04:42 pm »
I was working on one of my bartop arcade units.
I had to move the monitor so that I could mount it on the supports.
I gave it a lil jolt and the next think you know I hear a sound like air leaking out of a tire.
Any idea what I did ? And have I know completely fuct the monitor ?

* as of the know the cabinet wiring is not complete, so I am unable to test the monitor *

any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

thank you, I was scared it was something like that.
Luckily this is in the machine I plan on keeping.
So i think I might try my hand @ a used LCD monitor.
I believe it will hook right up into the 48-in-1 board.
Now if only it fits into the cabinet.

I apologize if this is not in the most ideal of sections.
As per the above post it would appear I have damaged my bartop monitor.
As opposed to finding a replacement I've decided I will try using a LCD PC monitor.
However 48-in-1 game boards require a vertical mounted monitor.
Based on the sizing I was sent I dont think it will fit.
Does anyone know if the 48-in-1 board has the ability to rotate the image ?
This way I can display a vertical image on my horizontal monitor.

Thank you

Simple answer.... no.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
