Apex AT-2402 CRT TV in arcade cabinet
« on: May 21, 2010, 12:20:53 am »
Picked up one of these gems for $10.  It works pretty well.  Hard wired power button, etc.  There's a problem that hopefully a tech can elaborate on.  Whenever I power it on it jumps immediately to channel 60.  Is there something in the service mode that will let me set it to s-video by default?  If this can be done then this will be a great cabinet mount unit.  The picture through the RGB to s-video is fantastic.

you should be able to add/remove channels through the menu.
just delete all the channels and then all you will have left is the input.

Can you elaborate more?  When I power it up it starts on channel 12.  I need it to start on svideo.

normally televisions have the ability to add or remove channels, so that when you view the channels through the channel + and channel - buttons, it skips the channels that you deleted... for whatever reason... foreign channels, news channels, blank static channels. etc.

if you delete ALL the channels, chances are your TV will revert to the input channel on power up since all the CATV channels have been deleted.
