different neck
you can make a colour monitor run a b/w game by joining red/green/blue/sync together

its a space zap that originaly had a wg v1001,when i got it the flyback is broke,so it needs repairing/replacement,dont exactly know if it is hard job as i might have to get the right one for the chassis.wg v1001 has a power supply onboard the chassis.

well i got a free colour monitor,it works i saw it powered up and running by the person who gave me it,i just want to check the game works and displays fine thats all.i was also seeing what the options are as i have a colour cassis and i have the b/w tube,i know the colour tube wont fit the cab,it sticks out.

so i will just use the colour monitor to test the board.

any good links on how to join them and where to put the wires after joining them.its a kortek chassis.

also powering the monitor!

i will need to power it and all i got is the transformwaer on the bottom of the cab,i am sure that a monitor needs its own isolated power supply,is that right?if it is i will have to get a power supply.

or hows about this idea?i put the space zap beside my jamma cab,i remove the jamma wiring from the monitor and wire up the space zap?

the last option is the most logical as you know the jamma cab is working

can you actually get a lopt for that wg b/w monitor?

i dont know what to do about repairing it,i aint exactly clued up and an expert on monitor repairs,i have tried and tried time and time again to find the same v1001 chassis with no look.i am in uk,they are like rocking horse s**t.

i am just unsure what to do once i twidt the rgb&syn wires together,i got an hantarex monitor in the jamma cab.where would i stick the twisted wires.

well on the hantarex you will have red/green/blue/black/white/yellow
you join the red/green/blue/white/yellow together so you basically have 2 cables(one the black video ground and all the others twisted into one) then you join the video ground to the video ground of the space zap and the other to the signal of the space zap(easy to find as it goes from the game board to the monitor-2 wires)

i am in the u.k as well
this is your chassis then

finding a 19" portable is a pain.like i say i just need to wait and find a replacement chassis or get repair, that link you gave me is one that gets thrown up a lot.he is too far and i seriously doubt he got the part i would want,if he did he would likely not sell it.

too busy sorting cosmetics out, ontop of that i have to sort the sound out as i can hear audio but, only faint,so got to track the problem down and sort it out, possibly a soundcard problem, space zap has a soundcard with the volume controls etc,i think it might be a couple of resistors but,i am unsure.
