Neotec nt-500 and Super Sprint
« on: May 16, 2010, 08:30:47 pm »
I finally got a tri-sync monitor for my Atari Super Sprint (it's medium res), I hooked the Neotec up to a PC though the VGA connector and it was fine. I then switched the plug on the Neotech board to the cga/ega header and connected the 6 pin plug to the Super Sprint board and couldn't get a picture. I can't locate a manual for the Neotec nt-500 (dx-0005) either.

The monitor has 6 pins in order -  R,G,B, GND, V,Comp

The Schematic for Super Sprint looks like this / Do I have to switch some wires around? I sure hope the monitor is compatible with Atari system 2....

it should be.

you may have the sync wrong. I don't remember if there is a jumper to switch it between h/v sync or not on there. it may be set to vert sync.

sorry.... i meant may be set to horizontal sync. and yes it does have a jumper (beside the vga conector) try switching it it to (v)...also has another jumper slightly to the left and down. for composite make sure that's not someplace where it's not supposed to be.

If you need a manual, you have to buy one from the parts department at Neo Tec:

Yea I googled  all over and figured I might have to order one.

I looked again the monitor video header has 10 pins.

In order

red
green
blue
gnd
v
comp
n/c
gnd
v
h

My guess, should I just remove the H & V from the super sprint plug and run them to the last v&h on the monitor's video board header?

Here is my paint drawing- :P

The jumpers are to the far right of the both sets of 3 pins. I have no idea where the sw2 comp jumper is supposed to be. Am i correct that I should be able to use the last 2 pins H & V on w101 if I move the sw2 comp jumper one way or the other?

 - I still haven't got a pic, a solid green screen was it.

I Finally got it to work on the last 2 pins H & V. It just kind of happened, it was the same way I had it hooked up 2 days ago. Maybe a plug was lose or something, oh well at least it's good to go now.
