fit colour monitor into cabinet
« on: May 16, 2010, 04:05:19 pm »
i am wanting to fit a colour monitor for test purposes into a cabinet that originaly had a b/w monitor.

i am not intending to keep it in the cab as it wont fit.

the original monitor was a wells gardner and it had an onboard power brick.am i right in assuming that i will need an isolated power supply or something to power the monitor, how would i get power to it,would the wg v1001 wiring power a colour monitor?i am going to test a space zap cab to be sure its gameboards are running ok,wont need the monitor after that as i will try to get repair of the wg v1001 chassis (its got a faulty diode ht lead)or replacement b/w.

i am getting an rgb interface board for the boardset for colour output (just got to wait for them to arrive as they are coming to me from us and i am in uk) also,i think that the wires can be twisted on b/w game to get it to display on colour,i just have scant details on that.

so basicly what would i have to do to setup a colour monitor just for test purposes into the cab.

thanks.
:)
