More Centipede Monitor Mayhem

So my replacement monitor went haywire on my centipede cab which is a Betson Imperial 19" CGA I bought new from Steve over at arcadeshop.com a little over a month ago. It's probably only had about 8 hours playtime total. I turned it on tonight, played a few times and then went and watched demolition man(don't ask) in the other room when I returned the monitor was black and the game was blind. I shut down the system and when it repowered up the screen is rolling white vertically. You can barely play the game but it's still possible. Any ideas what this could be on a practically new monitor?

bad vertical deflecion IC maybe... is the picture all over or it is static like in the picture?

could be a loose sync wire too though.

check your wires going from your board to the monitor, something is throwing the sync off.

So I checked my sync and indeed it has slipped out. I'm using the N12 on the board connector to use the undocumented composite sync on the centipede board and hooking it up to the composite on the kortek. Unfortunately I think something shorted/blew out on the monitor because every time I put the sync back in place the screen rolls. I also used a spare working centipede board that I had to see if it was something on the board itself. Any additional advice on narrowing it down or possibly diagnosing the monitor would be amazing!
