Monitor wiring diagram
« on: May 13, 2010, 06:24:49 pm »
Hi there, I have an arcade cabinet of the following spec;

Monitor:
* Size: 25"
* Type: Raster: Standard Resolution
* CRT: Color CGA
* Model : Wells Gardner K7191 manufactured by Zenith
* Picture Tube: G-A63ADG25X

It is a zenith 25" monitor. (The 2 numbers on the tube are, G-A63ADG25X   04RC0105-005)

I have an issue where I think I damaged the neck board. I have had this looked at, and I believe repaired. However the guy who did it hasnt connected a lot of the cables back up when he came and put it all back together. So there are cables from the neck board to the chassis unplugged, and from the monitor, to the chassis as well hanging loose. Wondered if anyone knew, or had a diagram to show where these were meant to go so I can connect them back up again.

Cheers
Antix.

the K7000 is identical to the k7100 series....in nearly every respect. wellsgardner got overwhelmed when producing the k7000, and decided to let zenith make them too to get back on track...under the k7100 designator so people wouldn't get confused.... boy that worked out didn't it!

Are you sure it's a Zenith K7000?

The good news?  The wires from the neckboard to the chassis should only plug in one way.

Doubt it since K7191 was mentioned... probably just assuming it was made by Zenith because of the large Zenith sticker on the tube.

Hmm pretty sure that the link http://www.jstookey.com/arcade/WG_25k7191/ above is going to give me the info I need. Thanks for that. I am not sure it a Zenith, but yes, as you say, it has Zenith on the tube. I just figured that meant that was who made it.. totally going by look and feel ;)

On second look, maybe not. The guy that came around to take a look at this a while ago, the first thing he said was "well thats a weird setup"

Will look through the other WG stuff on that second link and see if I can find out what it actually is... unless it is some weird frakenstein thing! :D

yeah thanks lilshawn, I will try and get some decent quality photos of what I am talking about and post them tonight.... I think I see where the wires need to connect to, but I have no idea which order they should go in. (They are all separate wires)

All seperate wires?
Those "could" be the yoke wires, if so you need to know EXACTLY which order they go in or you will burn your chassis up. (they don't come off the neckboard, but same general area)
Post up a pic and we can tell you for certain.
