What cap kit to get?
« on: May 03, 2010, 08:39:20 pm »
I have a k7000 that will not power up.  it is getting power to it, just no neck glow or anything.  i want to do a cap kit and replace the flyback on it.  what else should i replace?  On Bob Roberts site, is the the"K7000 Flyback Repair Kit" the same as the "K7000 Flyback & Cap Kit" with additional parts?  Any help is appreciated.  This will be my 1st cap kit and want to get everything I need for it so I can do it all at once...

you probably already read this already, right ?

how did you determined that the flyback was dead? I'm pretty new to this so I'm interested to know :)

anyways, looks like the "K7000 Flyback Repair Kit" include more items then the "K7000 Flyback & Cap Kit", which is just the cap kit and flyback.

Just email Bob.

I did my 1st cap kit a few months ago, I also got a main filter cap to fix wobbliness,  it's cheap so you might as well replace it.

good luck

any K7000 should have the flyback replaced.
they are all going bad on theses chassis and have a high failure rate like the G07.

if you having trouble getting it going i can fix it for you if needed.
