Plain old win98: what problems?
« on: July 29, 2003, 11:29:55 pm »
I've got my cabinet half built, and my computer half configured and somewhat assembled.  But the only OS I've got on hand is Win98 (not SE).  I see a lot of SE talk here.

I plan on running Mame+Mamewah.  What problems am I in for without SE?

PS: I did try Linux + advmame but finally gave up because of svgalib issues (and my ignorance).  My video card wasn't on the list...

Um, like none.  Win98 SE is like Win98 with more built-in driver support.  You can download your drivers from the web anyway.  Your cab should run the same on either.
