LA Machineguns and Gunblade NY due for Wii

Another leak from the ESRB, they published a rating for "Gunblade NY & LA Machineguns Arcade Hits Pack".  So it looks like Sega is porting a Model 2 and Model 3 game to the Wii.  This keeps me hopeful for some Daytona action still.  I'm not a Wii owner but targeting this for Wii is obvious as they were both positional gun shooter games.  It's still always good to see Sega sending it's arcade history to the home consoles.  I'm waiting on After Burner Climax in six days myself. :D

I don't own a Wii but if these were coming out to XBLA I'd totally buy them, if only to support Sega's efforts at porting their 3D Games.  ...And bragging rights of more arcade games ligitimately owned and on my system. :)  That said, I think both games would play poorly on a 360's analog stick.

This keeps me hopeful for some Daytona action still.

Nice find DJ_Izumi!  I love LA Machineguns!

Hey I remember a long time ago reading somewhere that Sega had issues with the name Daytona being licensed and would never be able to release it..

..but then I found this

Sega Racing Classic turned out to be a Daytona USA re-release, same graphics but ported to the RingEdge system, so it has higher resolution, widescreen, some improved 2D graphics, changed music, but otherwise looks exactly like the 1994 version.  No improved textures or models and such.

Daytona won't be released on the wii, sorry.  The wii makes for a great "gun" platform, thus why sega and capcom have been releasing stuff like mad.  On the other hand, seeing as how there really isn't a racing wheel for the wii (unless you count the mario kart monstrosity) and it's only 480p this just doesn't make a good fit.

The re-release of the arcade version will almost definately be released on the 360 and ps3 as an arcade title though.  We might even get a pc version.  Sega's port division pretty much exclusively releases current arcade games on the consoles.

Yeh I agree.  I wouldn't want it on the Wii anyways..

Here's a quote from the link I posted

"Also of note is the Ringwide logo. Ringwide is Sega's newest arcade tech, with power comparable to the Xbox 360 or PS3..."
