Ninetendo DK / Popeye Cabinet game from scracth.... help.
« on: April 15, 2010, 03:47:34 pm »
Hey all...

I got the fever about a week ago when my first machine arrived.  A used and redone Donkey Kong.  Now I have the BUG.  I've read so many posts and done some research.  I'm on the hunt for some experienced advice!

In cutting, sanding and preparing the DK cabinet,

Is "michiganclassicarcade.com" the best place for the scrim/wood stencil?
Does anyone have a step by or measurement lay out for the cabinet (wood type, etc?)

I'm excited about doing this!

I'm confused - do you already have a DK cabinet and you want to make a copy of it?  If so just lay it on its side and trace that sucker with a router.  No measuring necessary.

If you are looking for plans to build from scratch look at jakobud's site - I think he has the DK plans there.  TONS of us have built/restored DK machines (myself included).  Just search the site and you will find plenty of examples.

I'm looking to build one from absolute scratch.  Probably a JAMMA 60-1.
