Adventure-cade! (Sketchup)
« on: April 09, 2010, 03:19:40 pm »
Well after planning and debating I have finally decided to take the plunge and build a cab for myself. I have no doubt that this will be a long and drawn out process since I am a high school teacher. The cab itself is based on the slim Terminus cab, but with a few changes, including an expanded cp. A friend is doing the custom artwork, which I will hopefully be able to post in a few days. For now the blue sections are standing in for a mad scientist and his army of lighting flinging automatons while the red sections are holding the place for an army of lava monsters. I am still debating between chrome and brass molding, but I think I am leaning toward chrome. This entire thing is going to be fairly pulp themed   ;D I went with a slim build since I will be moving in the near future and wanted something that would move more easily. Construction is going to begin in about two weeks when I get a week off for spring break. My goal is to get a good amount of the basic wood working done. The pushbuttons are going to be ultralux with the chrome surrounds. For the sticks I am hoping to pull off the lighted ball tops.
